Smackdown Spoilers: 2/29/08 episode

Here are the spoilers for friday's Smackdown (courtesy of prowrestlingtorch.com):

The show starts with no pyro, there are two local jobbers (referred to as nobodies) already in the ring. The Big Show’s music hits as he gets a pop from the crowd. A total squash match occurs with Big Show winning after hitting one of the local guys (referred to as a Hacksaw Jim Duggan lookalike) in the face.

After the squash match, Big Show gets on the mic and says that there is a rumor that Floyd Mayweather is going to face Oscar De La Hoya in September. He says that rumor is false because he is going to crush Mayweather at WrestleMania XXIV.

Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore defeated Deuce & Domino via pinfall. Cherry came out with Deuce & Domino. Jimmy made the pin after a second moonsault from the top rope.

There is a backstage vignette with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Edge and Vickie Guerrero. They talk about leaving the United States and moving to Canada. They go to make out but Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins interrupt and say that Edge has to take care of Undertaker. Edge tells Zack that it is his job to do tonight to Zack’s disarray.

Chuck Palumbo defeated Jamie Noble via pinfall. Michelle McCool accompanied Noble to the ring. The match was back and forth but Palumbo hit the Overdrive to collect the victory. Sporadic “Chuck” chants are heard amongst some in attendance.

Maryse is backstage with Vickie Guerrero. Batista walks in and asks her if he can represent SmackDown in the match for brand superiority at WrestleMania. After Maryse whispers something in her ear, Vickie says yes. Therefore it’s Umaga vs. Batista in a Raw vs. SmackDown match for WrestleMania.

Undertaker vs. Zack Ryder is announced for later in the night.

Batista & Kane defeated MVP & The Great Khali via pinfall. Lots of tag team action between the four competitors. At one point Batista gives a pretty stiff beating to MVP. MVP finally is able to get the tag and eventually The Great Khali gets the best of Batista. Once Khali re-establishes control, he tags back in MVP. Batista is finally able to tag Kane in but Khali & MVP are said to be dominating. The action continues to go back and forth but it ends up being between The Great Khali and Batista. Batista hit the spear and was able to get the victory.

Eve Torres comes to the ring and hypes the upcoming WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. They run the Peter Maivia/Rocky Johnson piece that ran on Raw.

Jesse & Festus defeat The Miz & John Morrison via pinfall. Before the match The Miz and Morrison showed the dirt sheet making fun of Jesse and Festus. This is a non-title match. Festus is able to hit his finisher on Morrison with The Miz on the outside. Festus is able to pin Morrison. After the match, Miz and Morrison argue in the ring.

Big Daddy V defeats Ball Mahoney in a squash match. Matt Striker came to the ring with Big Daddy V for the squash.

After the match, The Undertaker comes out and takes out Big Daddy V. He chokeslams Balls. He then calls out World Heavyweight Champion Edge and tells him to bring out his minion to his yard and that they’ll both rest in peace. One of our correspondent notes that they may make it appear as if Undertaker came out of nowhere because Undertaker walked down the ramp with smoke and flames going.

The Undertaker defeats Zack Ryder via submission. The match starts with The Undertaker completely dominating the match. He goes for a chokeslam on Ryder but Curt Hawkins (who came out with Ryder) distracts the referee. Ryder hits a low blow on Undertaker. The blow is not enough as Undertaker is able to regain control and win the match by making Ryder tap, presumably in the triangle choke. Edge hits the ring with Ryder and Hawkins as they try to beat on Undertaker. Undertaker takes care of Ryder and Hawkins with two chokeslams and a double triangle choke, Edge retreats to the outside. Kane and Batista come out and throw Edge back into the ring to Undertaker. Undertaker takes out Edge and holds the World Heavyweight Championship above his head as the show goes off the air. One of our correspondents noted that Hawkins was busted open and Undertaker apparently licked his blood.

Most Likely to Repeat/Leats Likely to repeat/ New Champion

I was reading the spring preview issue of WWE magazine yesterday. I saw an article called the first timers club. It was about the people who got their 1st taste of WWE gold in 2007. Next to Santino Marrella's name, it said "least likely to repeat". Next to The Great Khali's name, it said "Most Likely to Repeat". Well, I disagree with that, so I made my own little article about champions.

Champion that is most likely to repeat
CM Punk. He won a #1 contenders match for the ECW title on ECW. This probably means that Punk will face Chavo Guerrero for the title at Wrestlemania. They aren't going to have Punk face him on ECW and then have Chavo win. Na-Uh. I think that CM Punk will fight Chavo at Wrestlemania-and win.

Champion that is least likely to repeat
John Cena. He was the WWE Champ for 13 months. After a while, the fans got tired of it. And I think the WWE noticed. I don't think that Cena will win at Wrestlemania. In fact, I don't think that he will win the championship until the winner of Wrestlemania's match loses it, and then the new champion loses it. It will take him that long.

Guy that should become Champion
Finlay. There are lots of reasons he should be World Heavyweight champion. He has beaten The Great Khali multiple times, whereas some people can't beat him just once. He is also sticking up to the Mcmahons, something no one does. Now I know you're thinking, "lots of people do that", but hear me out. Whenever Mcmahon is in a rivalry, he usually starts it, and the other guy can't help being a pest. With Lashley, Bobby had no choice but to face Umaga at Wrestlemania. With DX, he interfered with their rivalry with the Spirit Squad. With Triple H, Mcmahon was dissing him, so he no choice but to stick up for himself. See what I mean. With Finlay, he kinda got in Mcmahon's face because he didn't like his style of parenting. Also, Finlay has been with this company longer than The Undertaker has. Don't believe me. Even though he debuted in 2005 or 2006, he trained Superstars and worked backstage for many years. He even got Batista's life back on track. That's why I think Finlay should be the World Heavyweight Champion.

The one to watch

In WWE Magazine's spring preview, they said that HBK is the one to watch in the spring. I don't think he will have a big year. But here is one person that I think will do great:

BATISTA is out of the Smackdown title picture. He is not in a storyline either. I think that he will make an impact in an inter-brand storyline. I think that he should represent Smackdown at Wrestlemania. He would do great. I mean, what else could he be used for? If he could Batista Bomb Umaga at Wrestlemania, it would be a great highlight. Beating him could give him a huge push right back up to the top. That is why he is the one to watch this season.

Raw Results

Here are the Raw results:

Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes def. Santino Marrella and Carlito

Chris Jericho def. Jeff Hardy (Money in the bank qualifying match for Jericho only)

Umaga def. DH Smith

Shawn Michaels def. Lance Cade (DQ)

Triple H and John Cena def. Mr.Kennedy and Randy Orton

Also in the show, it was announced that at Wrestlemania Umaga will fight a Smackdown representative for brand superiority. Ric Flair will face Shawn Michaels at Wrestelmania 24. JBL revealed to Mr.Mcmahon that Hornswoggle isn't his real legitamite son.

Jericho should get a push

I think Chris Jericho should get a push. After all those months of SAVEUS_.222, he returned and went to a mid-card rivalry with JBL. I think he should get a push. This is how I think it should happen. Jeff Hardy would win the MITB ladder match. He will cash in the briefcase before the WWE title match starts, making it Cena vs. HHH vs. Orton vs. Hardy for the WWE title. Hardy would win. On Raw, Regal says that Hardy has to surrender one of his titles. He choses to surrender the Intercontinental title. Regal gives the title to Umaga, since Umaga was the champ before Jeff was. On the next Raw, there is a gauntlet match. The winner would get an IC title shot at Backlash. Jericho is the first entry, and he wins, elimanating Santino Marrella, JBL, and Snitsky. At Backlash, Jericho would win the title. This would push him because he would go from 2nd match status to mid-carder status.

Smackdown Results

Here are the Smackdown results:

Shelton Benjamin def. Jimmy Wang-Yang (Money In The Bank Qualifying Match)

Jesse and Festus def. Deuce and Domino

Big Fatty V def. Shanon Moore

Batista def. MVP

Chuck Palumbo def. Jobber

Rey Mysterio def. Chavo Guerrero
This was Rey's last match for a few months. He injured his biceps before No Way Out and will have them surgically repaired later today. Anyway, after the match, Vickie Guerrero said that she wants Rey to pay for what he did to her last week (the west coast pop). Then The Big Show comes out and Chokeslams Rey.

Spring Preview 2008

WWE magazine did a "Spring Preview" issue. That got me thinking, what if I did a spring preview on this site? So I decided to. Welcome to Roadkill's "Spring Preview 2008". To start off the prview, I will make some predictions about WWE's spring:

Prediction #1: CARLITO AND SANTINO MARRELLA WILL HOLD TAG TEAM GOLD
I think that Santino Marrella and Carlito will Finally hold tag team gold. They were named the #1 contenders for the titles 2 weeks ago, and I think that they deserve #1 contendership more than any other team. They have beaten everyone, including the Tag Team champs. Since they were named the #1 contenders just 2 weeks ago, I think that they will get their shot at Wrestlemania. But I don't think they will win at Wrestlemania. They are Heels, really dirty heels. I don't think the WWE would let them win at a Pay Per View like wrestlemania. But I think they could win the titles at Backlash, the PPV after 'Mania. It would be the perfect time, and Hardcore Holly could turn heel again and turn on Cody Rhodes. It would work ut perfectly.

Prediction #2: DREW MACINTYRE WILL TEAM UP WITH THE HIGHLANDERS
I know that WWE Magazine made this prediction too, but I think that this could seriously happen. In WWE magazine's spring preview issue, The Highlanders are listed on Smackdown's roster, even though they are Raw superstars. And guess who else is on the SD roster? Drew Macintyre. Rory, one of the highlanders, was injured and will be returning in August. August would be the perfect time to launch this stable.

Prediction #3: BATISTA WILL BE OUT OF THE TITLE HUNT
Before Royal Rumble, Batista was in the title match at every Pay Per View since Summerslam 2006. Now that Batista has lost multiple title matches, has lost the elimanation chamber, and lost the Royal Rumble, I think he is out of the title hunt. The fans have been getting tired of Batista, and so have I. I think he should be in a non-title rivalry, or at least in a rivalry for a diffrent title. But who could replace Batista in the title hunt? Easy. There are lots of people who deserve a shot. Kane and Rey Mysterio are 2 legit contenders for a heel champ. MVP and The Great Khali could be great for a face champ. Maybe even Finlay could be a legit contender. Hell, maybe even move Umaga or Snitsky over to Smackdown to compete for the title. Not only could those two be great contenders, but they could also keep Batista busy and away from the title.

Prediction #4: MATT HARDY WILL RETURN AND WIN THE U.S. TITLE
On the episode of Smackdown before Survivor Series 2007, Matt Hardy was injured by MVP, the United States Champ. I think that Matt will return and take MVP's title. Sooner than later too. I think that before Wrestlemania, Matt will return and get the #1 contenders spot for MVP's title. I think that Matt would go on to win his first non-tag team title, The United States Championship.

Prediction #5: MONEY IN THE BANK/WM'S MAIN EVENT
I think that this year's Money in the bank should consist of: Jeff Hardy, Mr.Kennedy, Shelton Benjamin, Batista, CM Punk, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, and Kane. I think that the winner will be Jeff Hardy. Before the WWE title match starts, Jeff cashes in his briefcase, making it Cena vs. Orton vs. HHH vs. Jeff Hardy. Jeff would win. Why do I think Jeff would win? Cena and Triple H have already headlined 'Mania more than once. The heels never win at 'Mania, and Jeff has never won big gold. So I think if this happens, it could work out for the best. It could even give Mr.Kennedy that push he wanted. For instance, Kennedy could come in a close second in the MITB match. He could demand a title shot and he could get it. It would show that the WWE doesn't need to rely on the Cenas and HBKs anymore. It could show that they are using their talent the right way.

Smackdwon Spoilers

Every week Smackdown is taped before ECW airs. Here are the spoilers for Friday's episode (Courtesy of http://wrestlingnewsworld.com ):

World Heavyweight Champion Edge comes to the ring to discuss his match at Wrestlemania with the Undertaker. Edge says they are both undefeated at Wrestlemania, but Edge will end Taker's streak. The lights go out and Taker hits the ring. He chokeslams the Edgeheads but Edge escapes.

Shelton Benjamin defeated Jimmy Wang Yang in a Money in the Bank Qualifying match.

In a backstage segment, Maryse led Teddy Long into a room, saying she needed to show him something.

Jesse and Festus defeated Deuce & Domino

Big Daddy V defeated Shannon Moore

Batista defeated MVP in a non-title match after the Batista Bomb

Kane defeated The Great Khali

Chuck Palumbo pinned jobber Matt Jackson

Rey Mysterio came out and did a promo. He announced that he would have to miss Wrestlemania because of surgery on his torn biceps muscle. This lead to Chavo Guerrero coming out to have a match with Mysterio. Mysterio defeated him but Vickie Guerrero came out and said it wasn't good enough after what he did to her at No Way Out. This lead to Big Show coming out. Show attacked Mysterio and gave him a chokeslam. Show said he might have done this to Rey but in his mind, he really did it to Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

Thoughts On Big Show/ Floyd Mayweather

I really like the Big Show vs. Floydd Mayweather jr angle. It is more exciting than I thought it would be. I even like it more than that Career-starting rivalry that I came up with. If you don't know what I'm talking about, click on the word Rivavlries in the blog archive, and read "the Big Show and Ron Killings". Or go to January in the blog archive, then find and read an article called "The Big Show and Ron Killings". Anyway, for those of you who didn't see the Big Show's return, here's how it went down. Edge won his world titile match. Then The Big Show came out and said "Guess who's back". He opens his coat and says that he has lost 108 pounds. Then he says he wants to win gold again, no matter what title. Then The Show Picks up Rey Mysterio, and the crowd immeadiatly turns against him. He is about to chokeslam Rey, but as he is choking him, he is calling out Mayweather. Floydd runs into the ring after Rey is chokeslammed. The Show pushes him. Mayweather is about to puond Show, but his crew is keeping him back. Then Big Show gets down on a knee and intimadates Mayweather. Mayweather runs at Show and hits him 3 times. Then Show chases him out of the ring. Floydd jumps the barricade, Show is about to too, but then Shane Mcmahon comes out and calms Show down. Show grinds his teeth, which are all bloody. Well, I was excited when this rivalry arose, but some weren't. On ESPN's "Jim Rome is Burning", Jim Rome says comments on this. He says, "Mayweather, you idiot. Wrestling is fake. Don't be with people like HHH and MVP, forget them." Then he shows clips from No Way Out and Raw.

Rivalries 6

Sorry I've been doing so many editions of rivalries lately. I have writers block, and when I have writers block, I write this. Anyway, I have a few rivalries for today.

Rivalry: Randy Orton vs. Triple H vs. John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels
Why: All want to be the #1 contender for the WWE title.
How it Goes: The main event for Wrestlemania 24 would be John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Triple H for the WWE title. Jeff Hardy would win the money in the bank ladder match. At the last second, Jeff Hardy would cash in his money in the bank contract, making it Cena vs. Orton vs. HHH vs. Hardy for the WWE title. Jeff Hardy would win.
On Raw, Mr.Kennedy would become the #1 contender for Hardy's title. Why did I choose Kennedy? We all know that Kennedy is going to end Flair's career at Wrestlemania, and he says because he did that, he deserves a Title shot. Well, that convinces Regal, so he makes it Jeff Hardy vs. Mr.Kennedy for the WWE title at Backlash.
Next week on Raw, Regal says that at Backlash, there should be a #1 contenders match for the WWE title. He says that the winner of tonight's Cena/Triple H match and the winner of tonight's Orton/Michaels match will meet at Backlash in a #1 contender's match for the WWE title. Cena wins and so does Michaels.
Next Monday, HBK says that he deserves the #1 contendership more than Cena does. Then William Regal comes out and says, "Michaels, you may be right. And if you are, you will prove it to the fans tonight because tonight's main event is Shawn Michaels vs. John Cena." Michaels beats Cena after he reverses the FU into a Superkick.
Next week on Raw, Randy Orton says that he wants John Cena's spot in the #1 contenders match. So Regal tells Orton that tonight's main event is John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Triple H. The winner will get John Cena's spot in the #1 contender's match. Cena wins.
Next week, Shawn Michaels faces Umaga. Michaels wins. Backstage, Orton is interviewed. He says that if he can't be #1 contender, nobody can.
At Backlash, the #1 contenders match ends in DQ after Orton interferes, RKOing everyone. Then Triple H comes in and Pedigrees Orton. By that time, Cena and Michaels are up, so they get into a three-way fight. Orton gets up and it is a four-way brawl. Security has to come out to break them up.
On Raw, Triple H fights Randy Orton and wins. John Cena beats Shawn Michaels.
Next week, William Regal says that he has had enough of this #1 contendership nonsense. He says that at Judgement Day, it will be Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels vs. John Cena vs. Randy Orton in a #1 contenders match for the WWE title. Also that night, Randy Orton ambushes John Cena. Later in the night, HHH and Michaels ambush Orton.
On the episode before Judgement Day, Randy Orton fights DX in a handicapped match. DX wins. John Cena fights Chris Jericho, where the winner will get his spot in the match. Cena wins.
At Judgement Day, Randy Orton wins.

Wrestlezone.com

I didn't order No Way Out, but I did listen to it through free audio coverage on my computer. You can listen to every PPV that way- for free. Just go on http://www.wrestlezone.com/live.php . Then click on "Live PPV Coverage For Free". It's awesome and totally legal.

Big Show Returns!

Last night at No Way Out, The Big Show returned to the WWE. WWE had re-signed Big Show at the end of 2007, but it was never clear when he would make his in-ring return. Click on this link to see the return: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjzgRG2vgss

Raw Chamber

Triple H wins the chamber

Cena vs. Orton/ Edge vs. Rey

Orton was DQ'd in his match.

Edge won. After the match Big Show came out and attacked Rey. Then Floyd Mayweather came out and attacked show.

No Way Out

Here are the results for the first 3 matches:

Chavo def. Punk

Flair def. Kennedy

Undertaker wins Smackdown Chamber

No Way Out Result

Chavo Guerrero just beat CM Punk.

Rivalries 5

Whelp, here we are again. I am writing ideas for new rivalries that no one probably reads. I would send these to the WWE, but their policy is "no ideas for storylines, no matter how good". The don't care about what the fans want to see, because as long as Steph keeps writing those "from the heart" storylines, everything is great. Even if the fans hate it. Which 9 out of 10 times, they do.

Rivalry: John Morrison vs. The Miz
Why: The Miz turned on Morrison.
How it goes: For those of you who are reading this, I spoke about something like this in a blog called "Wrestlers Who Should Get A Push." Read it. Find it in the blog archive. It is from February 2008. I'll fill you in though. Morrison and the Miz wouldn't be getting along. They would be getting into arguements, blaming each other for loses, stuff like that. At Wrestlemania, they would lose their titles to Jesse and Festus in a tag team battle royal. The reason the lost was because the Miz elimanated Morrison. Anyway, on the ECW after 'Mania, The Miz would come out to adress Morrison. He would say tha the guy was a crybaby/jerk that he couldn't tolerate. And he's happy that they're not a team anymore. Then Estrada comes out and says that tonight, CM Punk and John Morrison will take on Chavo Guerrero and The Miz. Chavo and The Miz win.
Next week on ECW, The Miz fights Morrison. The Miz is DQ'd after hitting Morrison with brass knuckles. After the match, Estrada comes out and says that he knows that they can't get along, but they were the former tag team champions. They have a rematch in their contract, so at Backlash they have to co-exist and face Jesse and Festus for the titles.
On Smackdown, Jesse faces Morrison. Morrison hits the neck-breaker, but the Miz distracts him, allowing Jesse to get the pin.
On Tuesday, Morrison and the Miz co-exist to beat Dreamer and Delany in the main event. After the match, Morrison hits The Miz with a chair.
On Smackdown, The Miz fights Festus. he Miz is DQ'd after Morrison interferes, trying to beat up The Miz. The Miz gets mad, leading to a fist-fight. Security has to break them up.
On ECW, Estrada says that Morrison and The Miz don't have to team up at Backlash, but only if Morrison beats MVP tonight. Morrison loses. After the match, The Miz says that if Morrison would've just won that they wouldn't have to fight those hillbillys at Backlash. Morrison fires back with an insult. These 2 have a staredown as we go to a commercial break.
On Smackdown, Teddy Long says that Morrison and The Miz don't have to co-exist at Backlash, but only if The Miz beats a super secret opponent tonight. The Opponent is The Great Khali. The Miz is squashed. After the match, Morrison says that The Miz should just be a man and get it over with. The Miz gets up and says, "You're talking to me about being a man?! You wear gay fur coats. You call youself the Shaman of Sexy. More like the Shaman of $hitty if you ask me." Morrison is mad now, so he goes to closeline The Miz but is reality checked.
At Backlash, Morrison is interviewed before the match. He says that Him vs. The Miz is a battle between good and evil, and that he is happy to represent good. He also says that win tonight or not, The Miz is getting the butt-kicking of a lifetime on ECW. During the tag team title match, which is second or third to last on the card, The Miz reality checks Morrison and leaves the ring, allowing Jesse and Festus to get the pin.
On ECW, Morrison adresses The Miz. He says that he challenges him to a tables match next week. The Miz accepts the challenge. Then he reality checks Morrison.
Next week, Morrison wins the tables match after a neck-breaker through a table.
Next week, The Miz challenges John Morrison to a Steel Cage match at Judgement day. Morrison accepts. Then Morrison challenges The Miz to a stretcher match for later tonight. The Miz accepts. Morrison wins the stretcher match, but after the match, The Miz gets up and attacks Morrison.
A Tuesday later, John Morrison gets to pick The Miz's opponent. He picks Finlay. Finlay wins his match against The Miz.
At Judgement Day, The Miz and Morrison see each other before the match. They have a staredown backstage. After the next match, The Miz attacks Morrison with a steel chair. During the entances for the match, Morrison doesn't come out after The Miz like he should. The match is about to be called off, but then Morrison comes out and attacks The Miz. The Miz is bleeding buckets. Then Vince Mcmahon comes out and says that this has gone too far. He says that The Miz and Morrison will fight in a 3 stages of hell match. The first match will be tonight, the second on ECW, and the third at One Night Stand. He tells The Miz to go back into the ring and fight in his cage match. Morrison wins the match. Morrison needs to win one more match to win the 3 stages of hell match.
On ECW, The Miz fights Morrison in a Last Man Standing Match. The Miz wins after he hits the reality check with a steel plate on his knee.
Next week, John Morrison fights Chavo Guerrero. The Miz costs him the match after his music hits but he never comes out. After the match, The Miz's face appears on the screen. He says that he should just face the fact that he's gonna lose on Sunday. He tells him to forfiet before it's too late.
At One Night Stand, Morrison beats The Miz in an extreme rules match. He wins after he puts barbed wire all over the ring, and then neck-breakers The Miz.

Rivalry: Batsita vs. Big Daddy V
Why: Both want to be Edge's number one contender
How it goes: At No Way Out, The Undertaker wins the chamber, thus meaning he faces Edge for the title at Wrestlemania. Big Daddy V and Batista aren't happy, because they wanted to face Edge at 'Mania.
On Smackdown, Big Daddy V says that he wants to show everybody that he should be number one contender, and not The Undertaker. So he decides that until he is named the new #1 contender, he will cause a great wreckage. Then his opponent, Tommy Dreamer, comes out and is squashed in a quick match.
On ECW, Elijah Burke fights Kane. Big Daddy V interferes and squashes Elijah and Kane.
On Smackdown, Big Daddy V beats Elijah Burke. He also attacks Jimmy Wang-Yang and Shanon Moore backstage.
On ECW, Big Daddy V fights Kane. V wins.
On Friday, Big Daddy V faces Finlay and wins. That night, Batsita is in a match with Mark Henry. V interferes and beats the living hell out of Batsita.
On ECW, Big Daddy V defeats Jimmy Wang-Yang and Shanon Moore. Also on ECW, Batista is interviewed. He says that he doesn't know who Big Daddy V thinks he is, but he doesn't deserve to be #1 contender, I do.
On Smackdown, Big Daddy V says that he is disgusted by what Batsita said about him. He also says that Batista shouldn't even be in the title hunt, let alone be #1 contender. That gets Batista mad. He comes out and says that Big Daddy V should shut up, before he gets a whoopin'. Then Smackdown's GM Vickie Guerrero comes out and says that at Wrestlemania 24, Big Daddy V will fight Batista. The winner will face the world champ at Backlash.
Next week, Finlay and Batista lose to Big Daddy V and The Great Khali.
Next week, Big Daddy V squashes a jobber. Batista beats Mark Henry in a lumberjack match. After the Lumberjack match, Big Daddy V comes out and destroys Batista.
At 'Mania, Batista wins after a Batsita Bomb. It is a great match and the end of their rivalry.

Read the next edition of rivalries, coming soon.

WWE Questionaire

On WWE.com, the questioned readers about what their "tagline" should be. Here were the choices:

WWE...Real Entertainment
WWE...The Ultimate Thrill Ride
WWE...Let Us Entertain You
WWE...Where the Story Never Ends
WWE...It's On
WWE...It's Unreal

Well WWE, I got some real "taglines" for you:

WWE... Do the laughs ever start
WWE... Is TV this bad a crime
WWE... Sometimes we let out some "domestic" crossfaces (cough *BENOIT* cough)
WWE... Where the story makes no sense
WWE... The most violent form of entertainment
WWE... What are these "Steriods" you speak of
WWE... At least pretend it's good

A Wrestler who should get a push

I think that John Morrison should get a push. I know he already has a title, but all of his defenses are squash matches. If I were Vince, on ECW, I would have Morrison and The Miz fight with each other. Not a match, an arguement. Then the GM of ECW, Armando Estrada, comes out and says that if the tag team champions can't get along, he will vacate the titles. Morrison and The Miz defend their titles and win, but they just don't get along. At Wrestlemania 24, they wouldn't be shceduled in any matches. They would have a fight backstage. The fight would happen because Morrison is mad that he's not on the card, and he says that it's The Miz's fault. Then Armando intervenes and reminds them of what he said about them not getting along. He says that he won't vacate the titles, rather, he will make a tag team battle royal for the WWE tag team champions- and the match would be next. The teams would consist of Jesse and Festus, Wang-Yang and Moore, Dreamer and Delany, The Edge-heads, and Morrison and The Miz. Dreamer and Delany are elimanated first by The Edge-Heads. Then Wang-Yang and Moore are elimanated by Morrison and The Miz. The Edge-Heads are elimanated by Jesse and Festus. Then Morrison and The Miz beat the hell out out of Jesse and Festus. After Morrison hits the neck-breaker on Jesse, he is elimanted by his own partner, making Jesse and Festus the champs. Why would this push Morrison? This would be a great rivalry, and it would push him from second-match status to fourth or fifth-match status. It would also be the second-best rivalry on ECW. I mean, what else do they have besides Punk vs. Chavo that's any good?

A Week from Sunday: No Way Out 2008 vol. 2

At No Way Out, there will be 2 elimanation chambers. But I already covered them, so forget those. Also at No Way Out, Chavo Guerrero will fight CM Punk for the ECW title. I think Chavo will retain the title. He has only had the title for a month, and this could make a great Wrestlemania match. At 'Mania, Punk could beat Chavo in an Extreme rules match. It would be great. But for tonight, I am putting my money on Chavo.

Another match at No Way Out is Mr.Kennedy vs. Ric Flair. Mr.Kennedy wants to make a name for himself, and if he wins tonight, he will. He will do what Umaga, Triple H, William Regal, MVP, and even the WWE champion couldn't do. He will end Flair's career. But only if he wins. I think that this match could go either way. On http://www.deadopossum.blogspot.com/ , the other site that I blog for, I said that Flair would win, but now I am having second thoughts. If Flair wins, he would lose to Kennedy at 'Mania, and that's not how his career should end. But if Kennedy wins, he could beg for his job back. Vince could say, "Okay, but your Wrestlemania match will be your last." And at 'Mania, he could beat Kennedy. That would be the perfect way for him to end his career.

Also at No Way Out, Rey Mysterio will fight Edge for the World Heavyweight title. On Smackdown, Rey injured Edge's girlfriend, Vickie Guerrero. You can put your money on Edge for this one. I normally would think that Rey would win, but 2 weeks ago, he injured his right something- not sure which bone. But after this match, the WWE is going to start an injury angle with him. They should hurry it up, 'cause he's been fighting injured for 2 weeks now. Another reason Edge will win is because the WWE wants Edge to fight The Undertaker at 'Mania, meaning that Edge will have to retain if that's gonna happen.

No Way Out's main event is John Cena vs. Randy Orton for the WWE title. Cena returned at Royal Rumble, winning the Royal Rumble match. Randy Orton took out Cena last October. This match will go to Randy Orton. Why? Because Cena has been winning too much. Also, 'Mania's main event will be Cena vs. Orton vs. HHH for the WWE title. Triple H is going to win, according to wrestlezone.com. They wouldn't put the title on Cena for just a month, would they? And besides, I think that Orton winning would give the Cena-haters something to talk about, and it would add to his career highlights.

No Way Out 2008: A week from Sunday Vol. 1

As you all know, before a PPV I preview it. I call the set of posts: A week from sunday. Here is the "A week from sunday" post for No Way Out. Today I will talk about the elimanation chambers.

At No Way Out, there will be 2 elimanation chambers. The first one, from Raw, will include Jeff Hardy, JBL, Umaga, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Chris Jericho. The winner will face either Randy Orton or John Cena for the WWE Title at No Way Out. Here is what I think the order of elimanation will be:

  1. JBL will be elimanated first. He will tap out to the walls of Jericho.
  2. Shawn Michaels is gone next. He is elimanated after a Swanton Bomb.
  3. Chris Jericho is pinned after a Samoan Spike.
  4. Umaga is pinned after a Pedigree followed by a Swanton Bomb.
  5. Jeff Hardy is pinned after a Swanton Bomb.

Here is your winner: TRIPLE H!

The second chamber of the night includes Batista, The Undertaker, The Great Khali, Finlay, Big Daddy V, and MVP. Here is what I think the order of elimanation will be:

  1. MVP after a Celtic Cross.
  2. Batista after a Khali bomb.
  3. MVP is gone following a Samoan drop followed by a Khali Bomb.
  4. Khali taps to Taker's new submission move.
  5. Big Fatty V taps to Taker's new move.

Here is your winner: THE UNDERTAKER!

Rivalries 4

I started this set of blogs called rivalries a few months back. This is where I come up with ideas for Rivalries. In Rivalries 3, I stopped in the middle of one of the rivalries, promising to continue it. That is exactly what I am going to do.

Rivalry: Smackdown vs. ECW (continued)

Why: Smackdown wants full control of ECW.

How it goes: I will fill you in on what happened last. On an episode of Smackdown, The GM's of SD and ECW were ambushed. Edge decides to help catch the criminal, but it turns out that Vickie was never really attacked, and Vickie and Edge set up Armando. This starts a whole attack on ECW, but then Rey Mysterio tries to help the extremists. It goes all the way to ECW One Night Stand, where now it is all of ECW vs. all of Smackdown. Here is what happened at One Night Stand:

United States Championshp Battle Royal: Matt Hardy vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. Kevin Thorn vs. MVP vs. Elijah Burke
Winner: Matt Hardy

ECW Championship: Mark Henry vs. CM Punk (Submission Only Match)
Winner: Mark Henry

No DQ match: Finlay vs. Shelton Benjamin
Winner: Shelton Benjamin

Extreme rules handicapped match: Edge-heads vs. Rey Mysterio (If the Edge-Heads win Smackdown gets full control of ECW)
Winner: Rey Mysterio

On The Next Episode of ECW, Armando Estrada declares it ECW day. That night, Kevin Thorn becomes the #1 contender for the U.S. title, Tommy Dreamer and the Boogeyman beat Nunzio and Elijah Burke, and CM Punk wins his title back in a battle royal. To end the night, Armando holds an Congrats to ECW party. Smackdown crashes the party. They beat the hell out of the ECW superstars.
On the next episode of Smackdown, Rey Mysterio fights MVP in a no DQ match. Rey wins. Then Vickie Guerrero announces that at Vengance, The Edge-Heads and Edge will fight Rey Mysterio in a handicapped Steel Cage match. If Edge's team wins, they get control of ECW.
On ECW, Edge fights CM Punk in a stretcher match. Edge wins. After the match, Rey comes out and tries to attack Edge, but is attacked by The Edge-Heads and is speared by Edge.
On Smackdown, Edge fights Stevie Richards. He wins in a 30-second match. In the main event, Rey Mysterio fights the Edge-heads. Rey has Ryder in the 619 position. He is about to 619 him, but Edge comes out and distracts Rey. Then Hawkins gets Rey in a roll-up for the win.
At Vengance, the interbrand battle continues. Here is the most important part of the card:

CM Punk vs. Mark Henry for the ECW title
Winner: CM Punk

Finlay vs. Shelton Benjamin: Extreme Lumberjack match
Winner: Finlay

Matt Hardy vs. Kevin Thorn for the U.S. title
Winner: Matt Hardy

The Undertaker vs. Batista vs. Big Daddy V vs. Kane for the world title
Winner: The Undertaker

Rey Mysterio vs. Zach Ryder, Curt Hawkins and Edge: Steel Cage match
Winner: Rey Mysterio
Whelp, Rey won and the extreme show that isn't that extreme is saved.

See you on the next edition of Rivalries

I got a bone to pick with you, Matt Stryker

I got a bone to pick with you, Matt Stryker. I don't like you. Every time you wrestle, you wear some stupid flashy pants. Sometimes you wear dressy pants and no shirt. Matt, you look like a male stripper when you wrestle. Speaking of male, what's going on with you and Big Fatty V?! You guys act like you are gay for each other. You go everywhere together, you manage each other, and you even compete in tag team matches together. And forget Big Flabby V, what about Mark Henry, the man who has a black hole for a belly-button?! He is eyeing you too. I guess Mark will just eat Big Daddy V, so he can be with you. I don't understand why you are attracted to fat men either. You taught Social Studies in NYC too, right. Were you eyeing the fat kid in your class? You weren't! Oh, but you sexually Milested him, changed your name, and became a wrestler. Makes sense.

WWE Monthly Awards

Every month I will hand out Awards to WWE Superstars. At the end of the year, I will hand out the yearly Awards. Here are the awards for the month of January:

1st Award: The "I thought The Undertaker was dead" award (for the wrestler whos gimmick was most likely forgotten by the fans.)

Nominees: Finlay, CM Punk, Chavo Guerrero, Mark Henry

Winner: CM Punk. We all forgot that he doesn't like Meth because he's probably allergic. We also forgot that he is addicted to competition. This means he is probably addicted to John Morrison.

2nd award: The John Cena Award (for the wrestler who is most likely to win every match next month)

Nominees: Edge, John Cena, Chavo Guerrero, Triple H, The Undertaker

Winner: John Cena, and not because I named the award after him. Cena is Superman. He won every match for thirteen straight months. Of course he is giong to win at No Way Out.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: IF YOU ARE BETTING ON THE CENA/ORTON MATCH AT NO WAY OUT, BET ON CENA. HE WON EVERY MATCH FOR THIRTEEN STRAIGHT MONTHS.

3rd Award: The "Thats a nice pair" Award (for the best tag team)

Nominees: Carlito and Santino Marella, The Edge-heads, John Morrison and The Miz, Chavo Guerrero and The ECW title, Big Flabby V and Mark Henry (You Know, Mark Henry. The guy with a black hole for a belly buttton)

Winner: Carlito and a-Santino Marrella. Well, I guess Santino is in 2 tag teams now. The new MNM (Marrella and Maria), and Carlito and Santino. I think 2 letters sum up January. S and M. Oh wait...

4th award: The Miz Award (for the worst Wrestler of the month)

Nominees: Colin Delany, Colin Delany, Colin Delany

Winner: You guessed it, Colin Delany. He hasn't won a match yet, and an old hag like Tommy Dreamer won't help him. Lord give him strength. Wait! What's This?! The Lord and Shawn Michaels have come to give Colin Delany strength! Look, they are to the right! Now maybe Colin can actually win a match!

5th award: The "What ever happened to that guy?" Award (For the guy we haven't seen much this month)

Nominees: Victoria, Kenny Dykstra, Gregory Helms, Trevor Murdoch, Tommy Dreamer

Winner: Gregory Helms. He's been out for a long time because before the wolverine snapped and let out some domestic crossfaces, he injured Gregory Helms.

6th award: The most useless champion award (For the championship that has been a mere prop for the last month)

Nominees: The United States Championship, The Intercontinental Championship, The Cruiserweight Championship

Winner: The United States Championship. MVP has been trying to end Flair's career-not trying to defend his title. Besides, who cares about the U.S. title anyway?
Final Award: The Wrestler of the Month Award (Only a dee-dee-dee wouldn't understand what this is for)
Nominees: Michelle Mcool, Supercena, Jamie Noble, Edge, Finlay, Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guerrero, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, MVP, Hornswoggle, Ric Flair
Winner: Jeff Hardy. Who else jumps off the top of a stage and nearly breaks their neck?
Tune in next month for February's awards.

Chuck Palumbo

Did you see what Chuck Palumbo did on Smackdown. First, he hurt his own girlfriend. Then he beat the hell out of Mighty-Mouse, Michelle Mcool's favorite mouse. Finally, he beat the hell out of his own girlfriend. Is he Italian or something?! Who else would abuse their girlfriend but an Italian.Hi-a! My name-a Chuck Palumbo! Michelle Mcool, I kick-a the crap out-a jou. Then I-a kill little person named-a Jamie Noble. Then I-a go out on-a Motorcycle I build last week in-a Sicily. Maybe Santino Marrella and Chuck could start a Motorcycle/Pizza business. That would be cool. Or maybe they could train other wrestlers. Little Guido Mariati was trained by "Hot-blooded Italians". Just look how good he was. Oh wait......

Will you tell all your freinds that are freinds that I am back to blogging?
